Wedding Entrances: Awesome or Lame?

The Kevin Heinz & Jill Peterson Wedding Entrance Video has Now Set The Standard?

Rich’s friends, Mike and Christina, are getting married and Rich is a part of the wedding party. However, Mike and Christina are doing things a little differently and Rich isn’t a huge fan of the idea. Everyone knows about the reception introduction. Once all the guests are in the room, the DJ or Band introduces the wedding party, and then the bride and groom. Well, Mike and Christina think that introduction is corny and aren’t doing it.

Rich asked them how they were going to walk into their reception if they’re not getting the introduction, and they told him they were just going to walk in the reception room like all the other guests. Some in the bridal party, including Rich, just don’t think this is right. You’re supposed to have a introduction. You’re supposed to get your name called and have everybody cheer for you. Not to mention, the bridal party was looking forward to getting introduced themselves.

Nicole can see where Mike and Christina are coming from. She’s in a wedding this weekend and is so thankful that her friend isn’t making them do an introduction. Do you think a couple should have an introduction in their reception, or do you side with Rich’s friends and think it’s no big deal to not have one? Are there other wedding reception traditions that you refuse to do?

I think if rich wants to wear the funny glasses and do a little dance, he should do it anyway.
