Ryan’s kind of paranoid about his phone number now because Facebook went ahead published everyone’s cell phone contact list. Essentially, Facebook took all the contacts in a person’s cell phone and put them in the contacts section of their profile on Facebook.

Stan’s really upset about it because some of his contacts aren’t even on Facebook and their number was put out there.

Rich wonders if this is enough to get someone to quit Facebook. Ryan, Nicole, and Stan says it definitely makes them think about. Nicole thinks is just a little too far into someone’s privacy.

Are you upset that Facebook published your cell phone contact list? Is it enough to make you leave the social network?

Nicole saw Stan freaking out the other day when someone, who he considered a friend, didn’t respond to his Facebook friend request. Stan was so upset that he was about to call his friend to give him a hard time about it.

Rich and Ryan thinks Stan’s overreacting about the whole situation. What do you think? Do you think Stan is overreacting? Would you be upset if your friend or acquaintance in real life isn’t your virtual friend?

What is something that you remember to have been so popular, but fizzled out just as quick as MySpace did?

There was an article recently about a guy who dropped his phone in the toilet and was so desperate to save it that he got his arm stuck in the toilet. Rescue crews had to come save him.

Nicole’s scarred herself to save her phone as well, literally. One night, while she was rather intoxicated, her phone somehow ended up on the other side of a fence and Nicole thought she could climb over and get it. Well it didn’t go so smoothly and now and she has scars running down one leg to remind her of it.

Rich remembers his buddy Covino telling him how he once dropped his phone in the toilet and then went to the grocery store to buy rice. Why? Because apparently if you put your wet phone in a bowl of dry rice the rice will absorb the water and your phone will be as good as new. The best part about that story though is the fact that Rich asked the woman at the grocery store where they could find the “rice for your cell phone” as if there was a specific kind.

Knowing that she would become obsessed with it, SiriusXM Hits 1 night show host Mikey Piff introduced Nicole to the Pimple Popper Lite appon his iPhone. If you don’t know yet, Nicole is really obsessed with popping pimples. She does this even if they aren’t her own. Click HERE for some proof. She started playing with it in the studio this morning and that got us thinking about all these totally useless apps that we download to waste time.

Rich has a Mr. T app and the T-Pain auto tune app and a lie detector app, which obviously are impulse buys that really don’t amount to much. Ryan has a high pitch dog whistle app that, obviously, only dogs are supposed to hear. Clearly, it doesn’t work.

What apps have you downloaded that are just downright useless, don’t really work, or just a total waste of time?

Rich Davis brought up an interesting point today. He was talking to someone who wanted to possibly do some business with him, and when he pulled out his cell phone to get Rich’s number it was some old flip phone from a few years ago. Instantaneously, Rich no longer took him seriously.

These days your cell phone almost defines the type of person you are. You would think that a business person would almost always carry around a Blackberry, or a technically comparable phone. You could put the iPhone and the new Android phones in the same category, but they also have a bit more cool factor.

Rich lumped people people who don’t have a cell phone that should be commonplace today (iPhone, Blackberry, Android, Palm Pre, ect) into two categories. They either can’t afford it, which he is not ragging on clearly, or they just aren’t tech savvy and out of the loop. We don’t necessarily think judging someone on their phone is right, but we are pointing out that it is something that happens more so now.

How do you judge people when you see their cell phones? How do you react differently when you see someone pull out an old school flip phone, versus a new smart phone?

Nicole has realized that though DVR is a magical invention that she is ever so thankful for, it has created some annoying habits. For one, she overloads. Because she knows she can just record shows and not have to watch them exactly when they’re on, she just records every show she wants to see during the week. But then the week ends and she finds herself with tons of shows to catch up on.

Then there’s overriding. Nicole will sometimes come home and want to watch a show she recorded, but can’t because her boyfriend has written over one of her shows with one of his own. Nicole isn’t the only one with some annoying DVR habits. Rich is a “pauser” and “commentator.” He’ll be watching a show with his fiance and pause every two minutes to review what just happened and comment on it.
