There is an article out today that Rich saw and immediately knew Nicole would be all for it and he and Ryan would be against it. The article talked about whether or not people should let their dogs sleep in bed with you. According to this article, letting your dog sleep in bed with you lowers your blood pressure and makes for better companionship and a healthier lifestyle.
Nicole says absolutely and her dog already does. Ryan believes that having a dog in bed with you can lower your blood pressure and be a good companion but he just doesn’t like the idea of sharing his bed with a pet. He’s worried about getting fleas. Rich doesn’t buy what the article says. Letting your dog sleep with you in bed just makes your bed messy and smell. You should not allow it.
What about you? Do you let your dog sleep in bed with you?

No way – a dog in the crate makes for a good night sleep!
They sure do, we have 2 Weimaraners and they sleep under the covers.
Absoutley! We love having our 100lb chocolate Lab in our bed.
It also makes me feel safe when my husband gets deployed to Iraq. Its like having a second alarm alert system. except it is my bed!
yes i think dongs should be allowed to sleep with you my brother’s dog sleeps with him and he has no problems
No way, the bed is t be shared with your woma
n, not a dog or any other pet
I used to let my mini dachshund sleep in the bed with me every night. Since he’s passed away, we have two siberian huskies and they just want to play or fight all night so up in the crates they go! I can’t get the earlier comment about mange and scabies out of my head though…Ugh…that is enough to scare you away isn’t it?
I used to think it was disgusting to have your pets sleep with you, but not so more now that I have my little 5lb Chiahuhua – Mia. I don’t worry about fleas because of the flea/tick medicine all dogs should get (Ryan), and because she’s an inside dog, she doesn’t have the strong doggie odor. I don’t think, no I know, I wouldn’t want anything over 10lbs or too hairy though. That would be yucky.
My dog Tippy always sleeps with me.. She usally sleeps at my feet and keeps my toes warm.
Nope, my chocolate lab knows that hei s truly loved but he cannot sleep in my bed. I want to cuddle with my man not with my dog and his stinky dog breath!

I let my dog sleep in bed with me and my wife. He usally gets out of bed after 30min and go on to the couch but I love getting the snuggle from him til he leaves.
I can see how some or maybe even half or more of dog owners would not want their pets to sleep with them and that is their choice. My wife and I on the other hand love all 3 of our dogs and they all have a place in our bed. Maci is a 4lb Chihuahua, Jade is a 40lb Siberian Husky and my big buddy Linkin is an 85lb Rottpei. I also felt better about leaving my wife home alone while I was gone working if I knew that they were close to her.
I routinely spend the night in the doghouse with the dog. Does it really matter?
I think it is ok for your pet to sleep with you. Your pet is an extension of your family. They love you unconditionally and you love them back so I think it is fine. And if they are groomed then they will not have fleas or be smelly…
I wouldn’t let my two girls sleep any place else. Pippi and Luci my two poodles are always in the bed.
Before we had pets I thought this was a very stupid idea. They’re just dogs for pete’s sake!!! Well, we have now have three Chinese Crested (HAIRLESS and not stinky) dogs and they have completely caused me to change my way of thinking… they weigh about 12 lbs each… One sleeps with the kids in their bed, one sleeps in her crate (cause that’s what she likes) and one sleeps with hubby and I. He likes to sleep under the blankets at our feet (the dog, that is… not hubby! Lol). Contrary to what I thought, YES he can breath and really likes it there…. Right beside our feet! LOL I love my little Rambo!
