Ryan is finding articles about all sorts of weird stories this week. The latest is that during the last snowstorm that hit the northeast, a family in NJ made a snowman. But they didn’t make an ordinary snowman, they made one modeled after Greek sculptures. They made a headless, armless, and basically naked torso of a woman. It wasn’t overly detailed but you could tell it was a naked woman.
Well, neighbors complained and the snow lady had to be covered up in a bikini & sarong. Ryan thinks it’s ridiculous that the snow lady had to be covered. You see images like that all the time in art books & museums and kids learn about that kind of art in school. There wasn’t anything obscene about snow lady and no need to cover her up.
Stan thinks the neighbors were right for complaining. You’ve got kids running around that neighborhood. It is not appropriate to have a snowman or a naked lady just out in the middle of your yard. Which side do you fall on? Were the people who complained about snow lady right, or just being ridiculous?

The neighbors was just jealous his wife doesn’t have that kind of body! She should stay uncovered.
Are you kidding me. Is this for real. This is nothing but art. Believe me the kids in the neighborhood are seeing a lot more that that when they watch MTV
Oh come on! Do the neighbors really have nothing better to do than complain about this? Leave the people alone!
Really…if someone in my neighborhood took the time and effort to make a replica of art I would appreciate it not want it covered up. If you don’t want your children to be educated then home school them and don’t let them see art.
give me a freakin break. Then you better check all the ads that show child porn. Like naked babies bums, Now that shoould be covered not this. People need to chill out. Maybe if they went to the gym and stopped bitching about everything they could look like that too.
I think the naked version is beautiful but the covered up version is awesome, I would love to drive down my street and see a snow sculpture wearing a bikini!
This is ridiculous! The snowman didn’t show anything overly detailed. It’s the same as taking your kid to an art museum.
omg, what about all the statue’s in state buildings or museums that have private parts showing… people need to get a grip and pay attention to there own back yard , if they dont like it , don;t look at it….
oh better yet move it to the neighbors yard in the night lmfao
Please – if we see more art like this our culture would understand that breasts are for feeding babies/children. It is a beautiful work of art. Breasts should be honored as they nurture and grow our children as the placenta does in utero. Just my opinion…
It looks like it took them a long time to make it and it is a beautiful snowman. I think its stupid to cover it up. If the neighbor kids dont know about the female anatomy, they are too young to be outside by themselves in the first place.
This country is going to sh!t and quickly! I think that the person who was offended by this should look the other way. It is these people who have forced us to walk on egg shells in a free country! I have the luxury of being able to work from home and during the day, what is on TV……..soap operas! I despise these! You know what I do……CHANGE THE CHANNEL!!!!! This is a snowman (or snowperson for you PC freaks out there)! Why haven’t we forced the three-balled snowman to wear shorts? Is is because he is too fat and that his genitalia is covered by his fat (that body form most commonly taken by Americans)? Lets get real people!
On another note: Mashup…you rock! My wife loves you guys and calls each and everyone of you her best friends!
that right there is why no one like to go to NJ
I listen to y’all every morning. First off, come on Stan, why are you on Sirius, and not a regular radio station. I will tell you why, you are there because the F.C.C. has no say, in other words our goverment has not found a way yet to abuse their powers over satilite radio. So by you agreeing that this snow woman needed to be covered, you are opening the door for more regulations. It is a freaking snow woman, nothing more nothing less. The people that complained need a life, would they rather have those kids out stealing cars or something, or busy in their own yard, minding their own business, and creating, “art”?? So Stan remember why you are on Sirius and not a regular radio station, you don’t like to be censored over nonsense, niether does anyone else.
if your going to dress a naked snow woman, whouldnt you think that they would put more clothing than that? And who would wear a bikini in the snow, i mean come on… thats just silly.
because this snow women is not overly detailed, who is to say that the snow women is not already wearing a form fitting dress! I can’t believe that anyone would have the nerve to ever say anything like that and whoever did bring it up in the first place needs to get in touch with the reality that we have lived in practically since the 1960′s when the bikini became a norm at every beach and public pool in the U.S. I say take the clothes off the sculpture because it begs the question, “what is really going on underneath that bikini top and wrap around the waist?”
There is nothing wrong with this beautiful snow woman. I have a 12 year old son, but he has not been raised as a Puritan!
I appreciate art and love a good sculpture. That is not a good sculpture. It looks like a mannequin in a store window (a fact only further supported by the addition of the bikini top & sarong). Headless & armless store mannequins are creepy and so is this snow “woman”. Sorry.
I think she looks like a barbie doll without her clothes on. I do not know any child that has not taken barbies clothes off so really its no big deal.
I was coming here to say exactly what Candice said.
I also want to know how you guys view breast feeding. Should I be covering up when my 8 1/2 year old is in the room with me? Um, no. I cover up in public because of my own insecurities but I have no problem with mothers that do not. Do you?
And next, are they supposed to drape a blanket over a manaquin in a department store, while the person is getting the next outfit ready to be displayed? Come on, get a life. It is nothing to be ashamed of. It is clearly a beautiful peice of work, and should not be covered up. (but, the bikini adds a twisted sense of humor to it. )If I didn’t know the back story, I would prefer the Bikini shot, more for the funny in it. But to cover up a piece of art, because someone has a wild hair, is nuts. Get a life. You see more on TV then a solid white, slightly detailed piece of ice. Nothing any more detailed than a marble sculpture. Drive past Wiki Wachee Springs Park in Florida, and you will see over 30 topless mermaids that have been there for 50 years. Noone has said a word about them. Get real, or Get Bent!!
Everyone has nipples and technically men have breasts. Its not like they gave the “snowlady” a detailed hooha! I think the remakers are pretty crafty. It should stay uncovered!
That is really ridiculous…people have nothing to complain about…I actually think that its sexiest…I’m pretty sure if you made a snowman w/all the correct details they would not ask to have it covered up…should we cover up all the female statues now?
Now this sculpture is detailed lets cover it up…

Its art…get over yourself!
You have got to be kidding me. Why would you have to cover her up?? Its not like she had pubs showing or real life boobs or anything. If it didn’t show and significate details there is nothing wrong with it. P.S Ryan is SUPER hot
