Perez Hilton -vs- Will.I.Am

Perez Hilton Versus The Black Eyed Peas' Will.I.Am

If you haven’t heard yet, late Sunday night/early Monday morning, Will I Am, with some of Black Eyed Peas Guards, allegedly beat up Perez Hilton at a hotel in Toronto.  According to Perez’s side of the story, earlier in the night Fergie had approached him and asked why he was always so mean to her. Perez said he calmed things down by complimenting “Boom Boom Pow,” and Fergie’s solo album “The Duchess.”

Later that night Will.I.Am started an argument with Hilton about Fergie and the two got in each other’s faces, where Perez admits he antagonized Will I Am by calling him a few choice derogatory names. This is where the stories start to differ. At about 3:45am Perez starts Tweeting that he was hit by Will and his bodyguards, that he is bleeding, and asks his followers to call the police because they weren’t resonding fast enough.

Will.I.Am says that the gossip blogger was more concerned about getting attention which is why instead of calling the police he tweeted that Will I Am hit him. Will denies hitting Perez, and says the two got into an argument over Hilton’s disrespect to Fergie. This altercation begs the question, do you have the right to hit someone who is mouthing off to the person you’re with? They don’t physically touch the person but are verbally abusive and mean to them. Does this give you the right to hit them, or are you’re only choices to mouth off back or walk away?

UPDATE: If you follow celebrities on Twitter, it would seem like a lot of them think Perez had it coming to him. We won’t republish the interesting conversations but if you so choose to you can follow, or just check out:

I feel as though it was bound to happen….If you talk crap about people it will eventually come back to bite you in the butt. I have no sympathy for Perez.

I think the right thing was done. I’m all for free speech but the person speaking needs not to be derogatory and disrespectful to the other party. Sometimes a$$hats need a taste of reality.

I agree that Perez says some things that are a little harsh, I just don’t agree that he deserved to be hit. I don’t think physical violence is the answer to words… cuss him out or call him bad names… not hit him…

perez hilton is a waste to society. he has every right to say what he wants but people have the choice to listen to him, go to his website or ignore him.
That being said I do not know what it is like to be in the shoes of a celebrity who has been subjected to Perez’s insults and cattiness. If the accusations against Will I Am are true, it wasn’t the best move or his best moment. That being said, I’m certain if I were ever in the same situation I could see myself (and most anyone whose human) doing the same thing.

What really needs to be done is for everyone to forget this situation and start ignoring Perez Hilton. I don’t even want to use the word boycott cause I could see him using that as a way to try and be even more in your face and start crying to everyone about how he does not deserve that. Plain and simple just don’t mention his name, don’t bring up the situation, don’t go to his website, don’t discuss it. Only by ignoring him the possibility of him fading away and reaching his 15 minutes becomes a possibility.
