While Steve Carrell is absolutely AMAZING in The Office, I recently watched the BBC version (original, rather) that starred Gervais. Carrell’s a little more slapstick than Gervais, but I don’t think it would tank the show. It would be a little odd seeing Gervais among our American actors, but I’m definitely intrigued! I think probably more so than I would have been if some one else had been rumored to be filling the position.
Ricky Gervais is hilarious! I would still watch the show if he is the replacement!
