Is A White Car Considered Feminine?

Rich Davis’ car lease is up, and now that his fiance’ lives with him they have to decide what kind of car they both want to have. Normally he would get a safe black, or dark blue colored car. Rich’s fiance’ however normally gets a white car. She is from Texas and they avoid getting dark colored car because it tends to attract more heat from the sun.

The question now is whether having a white car is right for Rich. He was wondering if it was feminine. Stanley T says yes, but Nicole or Ryan don’t care either way really. Nicole made the point that a white car is harder to keep clean when living in an area where the seasons change on the regular. Can you imagine a white car with the slushy, dirty snow the North East gets?

Plus, Rich isn’t a baller, like Diddy, who can roll with a pearl white car. What is a Rich Davis to do? Is a white car too feminine for a dude? What would you do?

Ontario, Canada here…. White cars up here are for women and cotton tops! My grandparents have a white car, always buy them. Especially when it comes to a yuppy BMW, white is a big no!!
And please, educate yourselves on how many Americans and Canadians are employed by Toyota before you keep bashing them, 75% of the cars they sell here are built here by north americans!

No a white car is not feminine besides its about weather or not you like the car or color who cares what other people think about it!

I drive a 2008 white Chevy Impala… and i love my white car…when its cleaned and waxed it looks badass

Hey why not compromise. If the woman wants white and Rich is used to black why not go with silver. Cool color and easy to keep clean.

Nope, my boyfriend was the one who suggested I get a white car when I got my Acura. I live in Texas and I can definitely feel his fiance’s pain about the Texas heat we have. Its not too bad but if you are good about keeping it clean, then go for it. It’s not GIRLY at all, swear. Unless it was pink…ok then, lol.

Studies have show beige is preferred by highly intelligent people. Compromise, go beige and look intelligent.

I have had pretty much all the colours in cars and trucks! White is the easiest to keep looking clean, white is very sharp when trimmed with black windows and a touch of chrome. Up here in Canada white also looks great in the snow! Go white!

It depends on the car and how you rock it. Audi A3s look sick in white. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3723734&postid=46733368
But white shows dirt sooner then if you were to get a silver car.

A car in itself determines feminist. BMW’s, Mercedes were both born out of racing but have gone now to luxury creature features. How many people buying M3s or AMG MB drive 35 in a 55 mph zone?? These cars are ego mobiles. Color is totally irrelevant. You need to decide on the purpose of the car before you buy the car. If you are buying a car for ‘driving” then it has to have 400HP, 400 foot pounds of torque and a watts rear link suspension. However since you own a BMW for nearly eternity you have zero clue what I am talking about. Forget the color and buy your BMW so that you you can think…wow..are they looking at me??? My car is an orange 2007 PJ Saleen and I have never gotten a ticket and I, like the song by Sammy Hagar seriously attempt to never drive 55………

I do think of white being more feminine. However it depends on what kind of a car we are talking about. If you are talking about a truck… it doesn’t matter… if you are talking about a 3 series BMW… then it would be more feminine. I personally think a white car handles dirt BETTER than a dark colored car! Sounds crazy but true. With all the crappy snow we’ve had laterly… check out the dark colored vs. white cars out there… you’ll see the white ones still look better dirty!

I think it depends on the car and the color of white…yes, there are many different shades of white. The car pictured is safe either way because it’s obviously a sweet muscle car. I think this works for most trucks as well, BUT if it were a Ford Focus…I’d focus on getting a better job.

I have to agree with what someone said on this yesterday – you calling Jay-Z feminine? He’s cruisin’ down Eighth Street in an off-white Lexus!

For that matter, do you consider construction workers feminine? After all, the majority of work trucks are white.

  15. Lauren says:

After hearing the discussion yesterday on my way to work I had to eye the drivers of every white car I saw on my way in. I think I may have seen 2 guys out of at least 20 cars. Good luck car shopping!

White is not a girly color. It just remind me more of company cars. They are all usually white.

  17. Nick says:

White isn’t a feminine color, just depends on what kind of car you get. If you’re getting a small little car then yes white is a bit feminine. Now, if you’re getting a little bigger nicer car or a big 4X4 SUV it’s not feminine. It is a lot harder to keep clean, my aunt and uncle bought a white Xterra and it seems as if it’s constantly dirty. I bought a silver one and somehow the dirt and salt just don’t show very much on it. Personally, I think you should comprimise go with silver

  18. Matthew Cohen says:

Hey! I think white is not a feminine color, but just asking that question is feminine! It’s not like the car is pink. I think you should lose your mancard just for asking and actually caring what other people think.

  19. Jade Isis says:

I have to agree that white is a feminine color. Face it. You are either, old and driving a white care, two, your gay and driving a white or you’re a girl driving a white car. Don’t care if its P-iddy driving a white car, it won’t change my opionion of it. Just take your own survey of it one day and you will see that the probabilities of a women, gay or older person driving a white car is 80% accurate. I won’t get the white car for my husband!!

  20. Meredith says:

I have to agree with a caller I heard on the show that day – it’s definitely more girlie to worry about the COLOR of your car. The manly thing to do is focus on what’s under the hood. That’s all I’m sayin.
