Last week while Rich was in Texas, and his girlfriend had to take a phone call for work so they pulled into this convenience store parking lot. While his girlfriend was on the phone in the car Rich got out and started walking around the parking lot. He just couldn’t sit still in the car. Well, some of the people watching him thought he looked suspicious. Two different people called the police to say that they thought Rich was getting to steal cars or cause some trouble by the way he was pacing.
A police officer shows up and asks Rich what he’s doing and Rich tells him he’s pacing around waiting for his girlfriend to get off the phone. The office frisks Rich just in case and by the end of it the two are laughing about the situation with the office telling Rich that not only did someone in the convenience store call him in, but someone across the street in a restaurant did too.
When have you been blamed for something you didn’t do?

Well that sounds a lot like what happened to me.
I am a reporter and one day I was out covering an event at an area school. Well the problem with newspapers is that many times no one knows your face.
So there I was minding my own business waiting for this event to go on so I can shoot it (photos) and go to my next assignment. It was a cold day so I was wearing my black jacket and skull cap. Well apparently the way I looked was just way to suspicious, a man with a skull cap, dark coat and camera he must be up to no good… So one of the parents called the cops and biggity biggity bam instant harassment…
I went along with the request of the officer and presented my I.D. because he was new on the force. My friend who has been a cop for several years got on scene and began to laugh and watched as the rookie cop put me through the paces you know the … why are you here? Who do you work for? Can anyone at that office vouch for you? ….. So by the end of it all my friend came over shook my hand laughed and I went on with my work…. ah I love my job.
