Stan explained to the Morning Mash Up that he’s getting a little aggravated that his kids keep getting sick. Every time they get better, one of the kids in their class gets sick with something else and passes it on to them. Stanley’s getting seriously annoyed and used to think that his kids should only stay home if they were really sick but, now he’s reconsidering.
Stan now thinks you’re going to get everyone else sick then just stay home. It’s not helpful and annoying for you to spread your sickness around to everyone else. This goes for adults too. The workplace is just like a classroom in spreading germs. Nicole agrees, but Rich and Ryan do not agree with Stan at all. They feel that unless you’re on your deathbed, you should not call out sick. Down some medication, suck it up, and get your butt to the office.
How sick do YOU have to be to call out of work? Do you think people should stay home when they’re not feeling well or are you like Rich and Ryan and think that unless you’re seriously ill, you should get up and go to work?

I only stay home if I can not get out of bed to shower and get ready. If I can get out of bed and shower….off to work I go.
I think it depends on your job. If you work with people or with food, yea it is probably best to call in sick. now if you work alone or in a remote area, tough it out unless like said “you’re pooping your pants” lol.
and yes, be considerate of others! wash hands, use hand sani and if your coughing uncontrollably, use a mask!
If you’re running a fever, have diarrhea or vomitting, STAY HOME!! Otherwise, you can go to work/school. Just don’t get too close to people.
Deathly ill – I don’t have “sick time” I only have PTO which is a combination of sick and vacation time – therefore if you stay home sick you are using vacation days. So nobody ever stays home because they do not want to waste vacation days.
I know you only have a number of sick days but if your job is close with people and other items your still spreading the virus even if your just a little sick. So if you work somewhere were there are a lot of people in and out I would stay home but otherwise go to work!
As a soldier in the US Army, we don’t get the opportunity to call in sick. I once tore almost every ligament in my knee, and after being discharged from the Emergency Room at close to 0200, I still had to be to the first formation less than five hours later. Although, after having two surgeries to repair it, they were kind enough to give me 30 days of paid convalescent leave to recuperate. Other than that though, I haven’t call off of work sick once in seven years.
If you are contageous, you need to stay home. As a pregnant woman, I already have a compromised immune system (as do children and anyone else with any pre-existing condition,) so you coming to work sick can have a lot more dire effects on me than than simply getting me sick. Passing on a fever to a pregnant woman (especially when she is between 4 and 14 weeks) can cause her body and fetus to become overheated leading to birth defects or miscarriage.
Well, i am in seventh grade and if i have got a fever, and throwing up and crap, thats when i don’t go to school! lol! but if ive only got a cold, i definatly go in because i don’t want to much homework! lol
I think everyones situation is different!
When it comes to working with people who have disabilities, children, people in hospitals, dentistry, clinics, schools, stores or food places STAY HOME!
If you are just in a work office and not working with a bunch of people and can tuff it out more power to you. Just wash your hands frequently and clorox everything and let the people around you know so that they can keep there distance if choose.
