Nicole had lunch the other day with a couple girlfriends, one of whom had recently had a baby. The baby is adorable but still very much a baby and will get fussy if he’s hungry or needs a diaper changed, etc. So every once in a while throughout the lunch, the baby would fuss or make a noise and people kept looking at Nicole and her friends.

The baby’s mom was telling them who cares, it’s a baby, you can’t expect them to be completely quiet for hours at a time. Nicole was kind of anxious about it. She doesn’t think that her friend should stay home just because she has a baby but Nicole gets uncomfortable with the baby interrupting other people and their meal.

As a parent himself, Stan says it depends on where you’re bringing the baby to eat. There are certain restaurants that you just don’t bring kids to.

Ryan says the only time kids or babies will bother him is if the crying and loud screaming go on for minutes. A few seconds, who cares but when it starts to get longer, the parent needs to take their kid away from everyone else and either calm them down before they bring them back, or just go home.

Rich says he’s torn on this because yes, kids will be kids and everyone was a kid once. As long as the parents are at least attempting to get the kid to settle down you can’t ever get mad. But if the parents are doing anything at all then you definitely have a right to get annoyed.

What’s your take on kids and babies at restaurants? When can you get mad and when do you have to be understanding?

Rich read an article this morning about a woman who claims that for the last 31 years, she’s had pizza, and only pizza, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the same article, there was a little kid who, for the last five years only ate chicken nuggets for every meal. It made Rich wonder what food he’d pick if he could only eat that one thing for the rest of his life.

Nicole talks about this with her fiance, Matt, all the time and Matt says that he’d choose pizza. Ryan would eat chicken wings, Stan would go with fried chicken, and Rich chose a cheeseburger.

If you could only eat one food item for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Rich saw a tweet from one of The Mash Up’s listeners that he wanted to bring up with Stan, Ryan, and Nicole. He wrote asking why is it that guys communicate with each other by insulting each other, but they don’t mean it, and girls communicate by complimenting each other but they don’t mean it?

Ryan says that girls aren’t really giving each other sincere compliments, they’re more like backhanded insults. Nicole agrees and admits that girls can be pretty catty.

What do you think about the complete opposite ways men & women communicate with each other?

Nicole loves her reality shows, including Khloe & Lamar’s show. On the latest episode, Khloe was saying how her and Lamar are on completely different schedules and it’s making it hard for them to have a baby because they barely have enough time together.

Rich thinks it’s a pretty valid point. Imagine if you and your significant other have opposite schedules and one of you is sleeping during most of the time that the other is awake? When do you find time to spend together? And if you’re not spending time together and giving each other attention, the drama will start.

Do you think having different sleeping schedules can bring drama into a relationship?

Stan has been walking around the last week with a cast on his hand because he broke a bone while rollerskating with his kids. Rich and Nicole think Stan should make up another story. Stan is a big, intimidating dude and to hear that he broke his hand rollerskating just sounds silly.

Stan is not embarrassed to say that he broke it while doing something with his kids because being a dad is the toughest job any guy can have.

Ryan thinks the story is fine and Stan shouldn’t change it. It’s kind of funny actually.

Khloe Kardashian stopped by to chat with Nicole about her & Lamar’s move to Dallas, they’re fun trip to Medieval Times, what Mark Cuban is like, how she & Lamar balance their busy schedules, who really is her dad, and the rumors about her asking Kim to be a surrogate.

Khloe said she was a little scared to move to Dallas because she didn’t know how the people would react to the cameras and didn’t want people to hate her or hate Lamar because of her. But she says the people in Dallas are so nice, the food is delicious, and so far she & Lamar are loving it.

Lamar had never been to Medieval Times so Khloe had to take him and her brother Rob came along. They completely got into the spirit wearing the hats and buying wooden swords to wave around during the tournament. Rob had a little mishap with the sword after Medieval Times. Khloe took Rob horseback riding (he had never gone) and he decided that he was going to pretend to be a knight and brought the wooden sword they had bought, along with him. Well, the horse didn’t appreciate that too much and pretty kicked Rob off of him. Don’t worry, Rob was fine.

Just like she was afraid the city of Dallas wouldn’t like her, Khloe was scared to meet Mark Cuban because he’s Lamar’s boss and who knows what he thinks of her and her sisters. She was so relieved when she did meet him though because he was incredible nice and incredible cool. She’s definitely a fan of him.

Khloe makes her relationship with her husband her number one priority and will only travel when he’s on the road. She’s super thankful that because both of her sisters live in LA and their design studio is in LA, they can be really flexible when it comes to scheduling meetings so they always work about Khloe’s schedule.

Khloe is desperate to know who her dad is! Please help her! (JK!) She talked to Nicole about all the ridiculous suggestions that have been thrown around. Khloe says she really doesn’t understand the OJ one because she has super pale skin. She also said that rumors don’t bother her and she’s a very open book. If you ask her something she’ll answer it, but she doesn’t like to address every rumor. Instead of guessing, she’d rather you just ask her straight out. However, she did address the rumors of her having a different father because she was really bothered by the fact that people were saying it was her father’s dying confession. Say all you want about Khloe because she’s here to defend herself if need be. But to say something about her dad who isn’t here to defend himself really got to her.

Khloe heard about the rumors that she had asked her sister to be a surrogate but the rumors she heard said she had asked Kourtney, which confused her because Kourtney is already pregnant. Khloe thinks the idea of your sister carrying your baby is a little weird. Besides, she’s not sure that her petite and tiny little sisters could support the baby of her and Lamar, who are 5’10″ and 6’10″.

As Ryan was flipping through the pictures on his phone this morning he realized the long held tradition of keeping pictures is your wallet is out the door. He doesn’t keep pictures in his wallet and neither does anyone he knows. Everyone has their pictures on their phones now.

Rich actually saw this in a movie he watched over the weekend and thought the same thing as Ryan. He watched the movie “Warrior” and there’s a scene where one brother takes out his wallet and shows the other brother photos of his daughters.

Nicole says that she still keeps pictures in her wallet. She has one of her and her fiance and one of her and her sister.

Do you still carry pictures in your wallet? Or do you carry all your pictures on your phone now?

This past weekend Ryan came across what he thinks might be one of the creepiest moves ever. A friend of his just moved into a new place and the leasing agent of the building she’s moving into got her number off her application has been texting and calling her to go out with him.

While that might be a smidge creepy that he took her number without asking, it’s made uber creepy from the texts he sent like, “hey, can I come over and cook you dinner while you unpack.”

It’s not the first time Ryan’s heard of something like this – where a girl goes to a mechanic, a doctor’s office, or some other place where she has to leave contact information and then a little while later gets a call or text from someone there.

Have you ever gotten hit on creepily like this? Is it ok for someone who has access to your contact info to take it without your permission in order to get in touch with you?

Last week Ryan talked about a story he heard that a pet groomer accidentally clipped a part of a dog’s ear off and tried to cover it up by gluing it back on. It didn’t really work too well.

But this is not the first person in the universe that has broken something and then tried to fix it and pass it off like nothing was wrong?
