Rich had planned to surprise his fiance’, Sara, over Valentines Day weekend by flying her dad out to visit. This is what also caused the whole Stan vs Rich “sleeping in my bed” fight. Rich was planning on having her dad be at the restaurant they’d go out to eat at so that when she walked in she’d see him. Unfortunately, his fiance’ was being REALLY uncooperative.
Rich was trying to get her to help clean the house (for her dad’s arrival) and she kept whining “why do we have to clean on my birthday?” Rich also tried to pick a place to take her out to eat and she just kept saying she wanted take out. Then when she finally picked the place she kept asking if they could get it to go instead of eating there.
Rich finally convinced her otherwise and she was really excited to see her dad. But throughout the whole ordeal Rich was getting pretty annoyed at her for being such brat when he was trying to surprise her with something nice.
This also happened to Stan once but he was the one being uncooperative. Years ago, his girlfriend at the time was throwing him a surprise party and the day of the party she wasn’t responding to all of his calls because she was busy running around getting everything ready. Stan got so upset that she wasn’t responding that he thought she was cheating on him, and decided he was breaking up with her.
Finally, he goes over to his brothers house and gets surprised by all his friends and family there to celebrate his birthday. Needless to say he didn’t break up with her that day., but it could have turned out much worse. When have you tried to surprise someone and they were just being so uncooperative that it made things difficult?

Yup happened to me to. I tried to surprise my gf for her bday. Took off work made her favorite dinner, picked her up without her knowing I was gonna be there had the little bear for her ect… She hated it. she was pissy with me the whole day because I did this. She was mad because I made dinner and didn’t take her out, made I showed up ect.. ect.. Needless to say horrible day. Turns out she was mad I showed up at work because she was cheating on me with some guy. Whore…
Yeah, I had a surprise seriously backfire a few years ago. My boyfriend at the time and I spent thanksgiving apart, and I knew he was going to come back the day after. So, I thought it would be a nice surprise for me to be at his apartment when he got home, since we hadn’t seen each other in a while. I also made a special trip to Coldstone to get him his favorite ice cream. We talked earlier that day and I asked him what his plans were and everything, so he thought I was there, and he said that he was probably just going to have a few beers and play video games. So when he walked through the door and I said “surprise!” he looked instantly bummed out and said “oh, I was looking forward to playing video games…” Yeah, the rest of that weekend sucked! …oh well, he’s out of my life now!
A few months after my husband and I were married, I decided to surprise him with a laz-y-boy chair for his 21st birthday. His dad helped me pick it up from the store on his birthday and hid it in their Volkswagen van for me. We went to his parent’s house to celebrate his birthday. His mom was working late that day so we wouldn’t let him see his present until she got home. He got mad. When his mom did get home, he refused to go out and look at it. I was really hurt and his family was mad at him. I learned not to surprise him without warning him first. We have been married 31 years.
hi well this isnt really a stroy of how i tried to surprised someone it is actually compleatly irrelevent to this whole thing but about 7 years ago for my 5th bday (u do the math)i had stayed the night at my god sisters house and its was a few days away to my bday so anyway my godfamily usually went to their family resturant every morning so when they were taking me to pizza hut i was like WAT and it was in the morning so i was WAT it turns out my mom had planed a bday party for me their so i was wondering y she was giving me a bday party when its not my bday cuz my mom is a teacher and my bday was on a skul day so i cudnt hav a party that day all in all a pretty AWSOME bday surprize! luv u guys!<3
