I think he chose Vienna b/c he was lustfully attracted to her and had lots of fun with her. Looks are important and you should have fun with your partner but… it only goes so far you need to have that emotional chemistry also (Tenly). The reason he let Tenly go is b/c he felt he couldnt screw up with her he was worried about saying or doing the wrong thing but everything else was there!
