Nicole went to get a brazilian the other day and got into a light conversation with the woman who was waxing her. The woman asked Nicole where she worked and Nicole told her she worked at Sirius XM. Then the woman told her they have Sirius XM on at the salon, and asked what channel did Nicole work on. It turns out that the place listens to The Morning Mash Up and the woman knew who Nicole was.
So what went from a nice conversation turned into a moment of total bethos (Nicole’s word for awkward). Nicole’s not sure she’s going to go there again, and honestly, we don’t blame her. At least Nicole didn’t know the woman. Can you imaginge if Nicole had her friend all up in her lady parts waxing her? We shudder at the awkwardness. But that makes us wonder, can you ever have an intimate relationship or friendship with someone who is all up in your biznatch? Whether it’s a gynocologist, waxer, or doctor, what do you do?

I like to stick with you on things what with all of those males around…girl power and all….but I can’t agree with you on this one….it’s that girl’s job not her life. You may be missing an opportunity to have a great new friend in your life, maybe not…. but if you discount her because of her job you will never know. If waxing is what she does, she has seen thousands of crotches and probably doesn’t even care anymore or think about that! Most people can be professional in and outside of work. I am a nurse and have attended hundreds of birth’s as a NICU nurse including my best friend and yes I saw it all but can tell you I don’t think about that ever, I love her and her daughter and was privledged just to be there!
