Ask A Brutha: Fantasy Football Edition

Today’s Ask A Brutha was from Cindy in Tennessee:

“My boyfriend Zach takes part in fantasy football every year. It started out with him just being in one or two leagues, and at first it was all in good fun, but it has gotten completely out of control. Over the last few years the number of leagues he joins has grown to about 6 (that I know of at least), and each one is for money. It’s no longer for fun as he takes every game in every league as seriously as those teams’ head coaches do. He’s spending every spare chance he gets analyzing his teams, the leagues, players, and stats. Fantasy Football has become his entire life from August to February and it’s driving me insane. It was OK when it was just for fun, and just one or two leagues. But it’s gotten ridiculous and completely out of control. What do I do?”

Cindy’s situation isn’t an uncommon one for girls and fantasy football is probably something that a lot of girlfriends can’t stand. There are a ton of other things that take up a guy or girls time that their significant other can’t stand. What consumes your significant others’ time that you hate? Or what time-consuming activity do you do that your significant other hates? More importantly, how would you advise Cindy?

I say get in on the action! Double your chances of winning! No relationship is perfect. There are always going to be differences. You just have to find a way to balance things out, if you love each other then work as a team. Communication is key!

I think she should just let him have his fun, after all he could be doing much worse like another woman!
