Yesterday, The Morning Mash Up learned of a very disturbing fact. Ryan Sampson cheats his way through Words With Friends – that Scrabble-like game that tests the depth of your vocabulary. Well, if you’ve played against Sampson lately and lost, don’t worry. You probably lost because he cheated.
Rich was more disgusted than anyone else. Nicole and Stan just thought it was sad that Ryan cheated. Rich is fully upset about it. Ryan says he does it simply because he wants to win.

It’s WRONG! I’m a huge Scrabble fan, and IMHO the underlying purpose of Scrabble is to test and stretch your vocabulary. If you can’t do on your own…..play checkers, man!
I feel his pain! My boyfriend cheats, too!! I hate it. We’ve played each other over a dozen times & I think I’ve won just one time. It’s aggravating because I have stronger word skills & he just makes stuff up…he tries combinations of letters and will just keep trying until the “word” is accepted. The sad thing is my grandmother taught him reading and vocabulary in grade school!!! Rich, I will play against and promise not to play crap like qi or fe!
I’m on Rich’s side with this one! I refuse to play one of my co-workers because he cheats and it’s beyond annoying. He even has a website that he goes to and plugs in the board and his letters. The website will then tell him which word to play that will get him the maximum number of points. I’ll play you Rich! I hate cheaters!
I play Words with friends and have friends who always seem to come up with ridiculous words like “Jehu” and “Fug” that get them over 100 points. Seriously? Like anyone even knows these words, let alone comes up with them on their own. They even make apps for the Iphone and Droid that help you cheat. Why even play?!
I think it is wrong. A couple of my friends I play with cheat and I stopped playing with them.
I think it is wrong to cheat, however, I have been know to come up with some off the wall words. There are times when I will just keep putting letters in the spot until something hits. I have played with those who cheat, and it is not fair! Ryan, play with me (words with friends that is) and I will even let you cheat! DeniseSC is my WWF name!
