Where Would You Prefer To Have The Option Of Child Free?

Between his other show and planning his wedding, Rich has been flying a lot lately. There have been a couple times where a kid has been on his flight and they started crying or getting upset. It doesn’t really bother Rich because 1) kids will be kids and 2) he likes children. However, there are some people who get very annoyed by crying children on planes and are fighting to have the option of child free flights. Now, while Rich doesn’t really get bothered by kids on flights, he does get annoyed when he’s on vacation and they’re are tons of other peoples kids around. He will always go to a child free resort.

For the most part Stan doesn’t mind children on planes but there are certain times when he’s exhausted and wouldn’t necessarily mind the option of a child free flight. He is completely with Rich on the vacation mind set though, he does not go to any resorts with kids.

Rich is also making his wedding “child-free”. It would just be too nuts and too many things could happen if all these little kids were running around. Nicole thinks certain high end restaurants could benefit from being child free. Ryan says he likes his tax return “child-free”.

Where would you like to have the option of “child-free”?

Definitely would have to be a tanning salon… nothing more annoying then that… my friend works in one and the kids go crazy while the mom is in there for 10-12 or more minutes. If you can’t tan without the kids, DONT GO! PS love you guys!!!

I have been annoyed by children on flights and on vacation too, but I think offering child free flights is absurd! Are we going to be able to ban rednecks, loud talkers, and people with bad breath from flights too? Cause they are just as distracting to me!!!!

The Las Vegas Strip is not a child friendly place. It seems like recently with the economy, Las Vegas is trying to push the family friendliness of the city to boost the tourism. The “booby card” people are not something I even want to see let alone a kid.
My question is where do you draw the cutoff? There are some adults that could be denied access to some of these places because they act like kids. Could we get “silent” flight instead? It’d would be a flight that you weren’t allowed to talk. Period. Bathing is also a requirement before entering this flight.

  4. I have kids and I love them to death, but I cannot go to the doctors/dentist office with them and would like that to be a kid free-zone. I picked a non-family doctor, adult only dentist just for this. That time is for me to make sure I have all my questions and stuff ready to go in. I would rather go in calm and not stressed because my kid or even other kids are yelling they want to go home, they are bored.

  5. I am the mother of 2 well behaved children but sometimes like it when child free is offered. So many children today are undisciplined and completely out of control. Parents want to be friends with their children rather than a parent and that is a huge problem. It drives me crazy when I am at a restaurant and there is a kid running around totally out of control while the parent just ignores the behavior. While it would be a little inconvenient at times to be faced with a child free situation, it would sometimes be very welcome.

I know people said Rated R movies in the theater.. but honestly, I get tired of hearing a newborn cry in a pg13 movie. I have kids as well and that is my break time.. I dont like hearing other peoples kids scream when I am trying to relax. I understand new moms wanting to get a break.. but how much of a break is it if your baby is still crying in the theater? I think that is when they need to call up a friend and ask for their assistance.

    (sounds so mean of me)

Restaurants- because parents don’t have the sense to instill proper behavior in fine dining establishments! Kids treat ALL restaurants like Chuck-E-Cheese and the parents don’t seem to do any better! Movie Theaters- because the parents don’t have the sense to NOT take a four year old to see a movie like Blade 3 where people’s heads are exploding! Seriously, I left the theater because the child behind me was terrified and his parents wouldn’t take him out even though he was in obvious distress! Finally, Airplanes! I actually think that there should be special “child flights” that are designed for kids. They would include mandatory adult supervision for anyone under twelve, kids movie in flight, and a kid’s meal! Plus there could be games and specially trained flight attendants!

  8. My mate and I love to travel to kid friendly places like Walt Disney World or Six Flags with our children. But when we decide its time to get away, which I think every parent should do sometimes, we like to travel to places where screaming, whining and giggling children are not permitted. The place where I think children should not be allowed is on Las Vegas Blvd or at the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas, NV. Kids have a million places to travel to in the United States that are made for their enjoyment, let the adults have Vegas!

I just want to say to the “nurse” that called in earlier today regarding this, are you retarded???? you saying hospitals and doctors offices should be child free, ok, what happens when a child is hurt or sick, how are they going to be treated if they can’t go to either. and don’t blame the kids, it’s the parents that should be watching everything they are doing and doing something bad is their responsibility. so for you to say that you are a nurse and there shouldn’t be kids where you work, that just proves that you only do it for the money and don’t really give a bleep about patient care.

For those times you don’t want to listen to the crying and whining a child free restaurant and airplane would be very cool.

But what about people that are worse than kids? Smokers, smelly people with body odor, women and men wearing so much perfume/cologne that you want to vomit in their smelly laps? I think I can handle children more than some of the disgusting adults out there! I know, how about a child and odor free restaurant and airplane? Now we’re talking!

I have two children and believe that there are places for your children to attend with you and absolutely places they should not go with you. Taking your child who is too young to enjoy a movie is just rude. We take our kids only to movies that are for KIDS! However I think children free flights (as nice as it sounds) is just not a reality. And believe me as someone who lived for 4 years in another country and did a lot of traveling back and forth..You get NO discount for having kids and it is just as hellish for the parent of the kids that are crying or misbehaving on the plane. Face it kids have to fly and there is no way the airlines are going to have special flights just for kids.
