Watching Awkward Movie Scenes With Your Parents

We’ve all had to go through this at one time or another…watching a movie with a scene that is steamy with your parents in the room. You all of a sudden can’t move and look straight ahead, but into space. You’re watching that scene fully knowing that your parents have something going on in their mind, and that you can’t react the way you’d want to.You don’t want to tip them off, like they can’t see the screen in front of them.

Whether it’s one of the American Pie movies or Something About Mary, we’ve all made the mistake of watching a movie with our parents that we shouldn’t have. What awkward or steamy movie scene did you have to watch with your parents that gave you really awkward feeling.

My Best Friend’s Girl w/ my mother and girlfriend at teh time. My girlfriend was the one that wanted to go see it and I thought that if I went, then this would count as me going to a chick flick and I would be off the hook for a while. So, to make it even better, I invited my mom to go with us. Backfired. My mother’s face was red with embarassment the entire time. Movie was hilarious though.

I watched the first episode of True Blood with my 17 year old daughter. If you have seen it then you know about the weird vampire guy (not Bill) having crazy sex with women. Talk about awkward, i kept apologizing to my daughter. It would have been worse if her dad was watching it with us though.

When I was 12 I wanted to see “Teachers” for my birthday and it was AA(14) so my Dad came with me and my girl friends- boobs, sex- so awkward. I was so pissed that I picked that movie when a parent was around. I didn’t want him to know that I was ok with this stuff- you know Daddy’s little girl and everything.
