People That Sit On The Same Side Of The Booth

Ryan was out to dinner last night when he noticed the couple seated directly across from him was sharing the booth seat. He couldn’t help but wonder why the couple felt the need to sit right next to eachother rather than face to face.

Are they really so in love that they can’t separate a few minutes to eat? Not to mention it was a little distracting for him to engage in any sort of conversation  the couple in front of him making out the entire time.Rich says there is nothing wrong with same side sitting, but draws the line at sharing the booth seat. He is also a fan of switching it up from face-to-face to same seat sitting just before dessert.

Nicole thinks Ryan just likes hating on people who are in love. Stan agrees, and believes Ryan would have a different opinion on same seat sitting if he were in a relationship.

Are you a supporter of same seat sitting? Or should couples tone down the touching when dining in public?

I have two small children and very rarly get a change to go out with my husband all alone. When we do get that chance I take every second I can get to be next to him and yes we do sit together in a bench seat when we can.

I sit on the same side only when I plan on fooling around…which is often!!!

My husband and I sit on opposite sides of the table when the table is small. If the table is too large and/or the restraunt is noisy, we sit on the same side so that we can talk.

My boyfriend and I set on the same side…… sometimes. I think if I wasn’t in love I’d hate seeing it too. I guess it’s all in individual judgement haha

My wife and I usually sit across from each other. To us it feels easier to talk when we aren’t having to turn our heads so much. Also I’m a bigger guy and she’s very small, so usually she needs the booth table scooted closer to her if possible so it makes it easier for her to eat, and gives me more room.
