Pajama Jeans: Awful or Awesome?

Fresh off the heels of the Snuggie comes another “invention of comfort,” Pajama Jeans. They’re sweatpants designed to look like jeans. Their special fabric is supposed to give you the comfort of sweatpants while looking like your wearing jeans. The commercial for these things (above) is priceless.

Nicole thinks these are awesome and immediately wants a pair. These are perfect for when you have to run errands or go to the grocery store and you don’t feel like getting dressed but don’t want to wear pajama pants all around town.

Stan could see how they would be nice to have around and isn’t totally against them. Ryan and Rich, on the other hand, think their awful. Rich hates it when he sees people out and about in sweatpants and thinks it’s lazy and sloppy. Ryan thinks it’s ridiculous that people need sweats that look like jeans. How much effort does it take to throw on a pair of jeans? The same as sweatpants, that’s how much. Oh, Ryan also called out Nicole and said she was gaining “love weight.” Wowza.

Are these pajama jeans are just giving people another reason to be lazy and schleppy in how they dress, or are they really just a nice compliment to comfort? Would you ever wear pajama jeans?

ok… so they look like real blue jeans. i’m sure Ryan and Rich n’t tell the difference between these real blue jeans in real life… especially on that clip. they were more than likely staring at that chick’s chest…

If they offered them as skinny jeans I would be sold! Why didn’t anyone think of this sooner???

i’m with nicole… if only they came in more than one color!!! =)

I don’t know… I mean, girls’ jeans especially come with a lot of stretch in them already, some a lot more than others. And these probably look really tacky up close and in person! :/

  5. Jen says:

I’d try them! Why not! I am always wearing my patchwork plaid pajama pants from Aerie when I’m out and about! haha!

I own a pair and I have to say that these are extremely comfortable. I’m not sure I’d wear them just out and about but they’ve been great to wear under my snow pants during snowboarding and are great on a lazy weekend when I’ve needed to run to the store. Honestly, they’re not tacky looking and I don’t think that anyone would have any idea they were sweatpants unless you told them.

Spandex on a truck driver…… Not sure if the world is ready for that. EVER…

Rich needs to pull that stick out of his butt and stop being a pain in the ass.

Just because someone wears sweatpants out, doesn’t mean they’re lazy or sloppy.

I work from 8-5 and go to school at night and I wear sweatpants cause I don’t feel like dirtying a pair of jeans of an hour or two. Does that make me a lazy slob?

    No.

Rich and Ryan your spending way to much time worrying about what other people do. I think the pants are a little silly but if they are comfortable I would more that likely wear them too.
Try to be a little less hurtful to people it’s not needed.
There is enough hate in the world there is no need for the meanness.
I started listening to you guys cause it was fun now I feel angry when I get to work instead of happy and cheered up. It kinda sucks.

I am like Stan kind of. But I first of all think they do not look that good. And I think they are good for those days when you are doing stuff around your house, expecting someone to come, and going grocery shopping. But other than that, a no no.

    #1) Nicole “rocks”!!
There was a story of a woman bringing up 3 men of
her own!! Nicole you keep up the good work on training
these fools you work with that give you the business!
    #2)
If you are a woman who does not understand why others
would be caught dead dressed casual, or comfortable in
public ..lets say “HI-Mantenance”./…Men who don’t get it
    are to “Pretty”..

Pros and Cons… Hmm. If they really do look like regular jeans, but are comfortable, I’d probably go for it. Men like for us to wear super tight jeans, but do they have any idea how much they can feel like you’re wearing a suit of armor? There’s really not much mobility in them. But some jeans are now made with a thinner and stretchier material anyway, so maybe this isn’t such a new concept after all. Don’t be such a turd about it. As long as we’re comfortable and think we look good (and all of our stuff isn’t hanging out), ladies, we can wear what we want.

I think thats a awesome idea.

Seriously people…….this is the unemployed, lazy girls way to dress. If you can’t manage to throw on “real” clothes when you are out and about in front of other people then you just need to throw in the towel. You are obviously depressed and/ or overweight if you can’t at least make an “effort” to put yourself together in public. People who live in sweats shouldn’t be allowed out in public!

  16. Nick De'Angelico says:

I’m sorry but i wouldn’t date a girl who dressed like that!! Have some self respect and take the extra minute to put jeans on some you don’t look like a friggin scrub!!!!!

  17. She'rry says:

I don’t expect anyone to dress a certain way, life doesn’t have a dresscode. Wish I could try these on before I bought a pair.

  18. Paula says:

They look pretty comfy to me and somtimes jeans can be confining and hot. I would totally sport these. BTW going out in public in sweats is fine. Maybe you are on your way to or from the gym or some kind of sports practice. Also if you are overweight, these pants would be great because they would be easier to take on and off and would be much more comfortable than jeans. Ryan and Rich must me too self absorbed. At least you can say that you are a confident person if you go out in public with sweats on. I do however think going out in your pajamas, no bra, and slippers may be a bit much though.

Hi..Just wanted to say that there are other reasons someone might want or have to wear these. My mom is a cancer survivor but has Lymphadema really bad in one leg and can’t seem to find any jeans that will stretch around her leg so these might be the answer:)

  20. Hazel says:

I have two pair and love them so much. They look good to run to the store in or a day out with the kids. Anything almoist you would were jeans for but want more confort. Guys, they don’t look like sloppy sheats. I love mine and want more.

My husband hates the look of sweatpants, but I always end up wearing them because I paint portraits for a living and I don’t want to get paint on any of my nice jeans. Plus, when you work from home, jeans just are not that practical. These would be the perfect compromise! It would also be great that I wouldn’t have to change if all I need to do is buy a gallon of milk!
