Nicole has been reporting in her 411 the last couple days about Paris Hiltons arrest. This isn’t the first time Paris has been in trouble with the law. But people still follow her on Twitter and care about her. That got Rich thinking about whether people really care about about a celebrities track record anymore and if it affects whether someone likes a celebrity or not.
Take Charlie Sheen for example. Sheen has been in so much trouble with the law and done some really bad things but, Rich still enjoys watching him on Two and A Half Men and plans to continue watching the show.
Ryan thinks they’re all looking at it the wrong way. To him, it seems you can’t be famous without getting in trouble. Look at Kim Kardashian. She wouldn’t be were she was today if hadn’t been for that video being released. People tend to be more intrigued by a celebrity if they get in trouble.
Rich agrees. He thinks that unless you do something really seriously wrong – like Chris Brown and hit a woman – a celebrities star is only going to increase if they get in trouble. Just look at Michael Jackson. Even though he was accused of molesting kids, there are people who completely ignore that side of him and continue to love him and his music.
Does a celebrities track record affect if you like their work or not? Will you still watch them/listen to their music if they get in trouble with the law?

Most of these celebrities do things mainly to hurt themselves. Those people I think can be redeemed, but when it comes to harming other people with their bad behavior, or revealing a nasty private part of themselves that they kept hidden from the public, I stop paying any attention to them and move on. At that point I think they have done irreparable damage to their image. They have shown the world who they really are!!
Well, it’s like Marilyn Monroe said: “Well behaved women rarely make history.” So true, don’t you think?
I don’t care for Mel Gibson, Chris Brown, or Paris Hilton anymore, or could care less about their work. And Jamie Foxx too, since his Miley Cyrus statements.
Work? Parris Hilton? I don’t understand the question.
