Yesterday, Rich overheard people talking about the Yankee game and how they needed to do in the next game of the world series. The way these guys were talking, “they” wasn’t just the team, but the guys as well. They were talking about them as if they were a part of the team. There are so many of these kinds of people in sports – people who truly believe they are part of the team.
Nicole says there are tons of people like that with vampires now because of shows like True Blood and Vampire Diaries, and the Twilight movies and books. We all know someone who takes their hobby, passion, job, or interest waaaay to seriously. What does someone you know take so seriously that you want to say “Whoa! Slow down there tiger!”

i think people get too caught up in the things they love; including sports and movies. i am a twilight fan but i’m not going to go out and find Rob Pattinson or Taylor Lautner and clip a piece of hair or whatever some freaks do!! some people need to learn to just appreciate a good thing without becoming obsessed.
as for the sports guys: it’s alright to say that whatever the team did was good and what they should improve on, but to think that you are part of the team and not the fanbase is going over board.
so pretty much, fanatics: take it easy and just appreciate what you love and don’t become one of those people that normal people make fun of!!
p.s. I LOVE THE MASH UP!!! especially when you guys are off air and someone is on the phone waiting to make a comment about whatever.. and you guys are cussing up a storm!! good times!! just don’t do it on air!! not that you ever did!!
I think there is a balance but if you’re a teenage girl and you see rob pattz or Taylor walkin down the road you are gonna run up to them and ask for a hug or picture or something. Just keep it balanced.
